About us.
The Dance Exchange started with an ambitious idea of bringing a full-production music festival to Westwood for UCLA.
We funded it with profits from a crypto meme coin, bought all the equipment, booked artists, and got ready to throw something Westwood had never seen.
Then a storm cancelled the event, and to top it off, we got locked out of the crypto wallet.
But we kept going, throwing dance music events around UCLA with the gear we'd accidentally gone into debt for, and it grew from there.
Since then, we've done production for electronic music artists like Surf Mesa, MGNA Crrrta, Joey Cash, Proppa, Shankz and more. We ran pop-up events in Beverly Hills, and partnered with Poppin — one of SoCal's biggest ticketing companies — on a series of welcome-back events across SoCal schools.
It's just concentrated energy.
At our core, we're focused on art and production-centered events. We believe anything good takes time, and that memorable nights are built from vision and ideas, compressing time into something our audience can fully experience and remember.
What keeps us going is hearing married couples tell us they met at one of our events, or people describing a night at our show they'll never forget.
Artists
We've worked with various electronic music artists spanning across different genres. Here are some artists we had the pleasure of working with.
